I pitched a game where the player would move the mouse to push the wind in certain directions to move the player character. It would have very simple controls, move the mouse to push the player forwards, backwards, right or left, and hold right-click to rotate the camera.
I made right click for rotating the camera to act as a way for the player to change elevation. It also opens up designs to keep the camera fixed and have right-click change Forward and backward to be up and down.
